Founder Elizabeth Brown Honored by New England Women Business Owners
Elizabeth Brown, founder
and president of Softeach, Inc. was recently honored by New England Women
Business Owners (NEWBO) with the organization's Five-Star Award. The award
recognizes women who have built businesses that have withstood the test
of time — that have grown and prospered to become successful companies.
Brown founded SOFTEACH
in 1984 as a one-person computer training company serving the Boston area.
Today, the company has 60 instructors as well as administrative and sales
staffs serving businesses of all sizes in the four-state region of Massachusetts,
New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Connecticut.
"I'm certainly
pleased that NEWBO has recognized my efforts as a woman business owner
here in the northeast," Brown said in reflecting on the award. "I
strongly believe in NEWBO's mission to nurture female entrepreneurs who
have taken upon themselves the challenge of founding and leading businesses
and I work to support that mission however I can."
